The special interest group on Energy Informatics of the German Informatics Society (Fachgruppe Energieinformatik der Gesellschaft für Informatik, GI) announced Astrid Nieße as new speaker for the upcoming next years. The GI, the German Informatics Society, is a non-profit association of highly dedicated computer science professionals in the German-speaking world. The GI comprises members from different professions, like computer science professionals from research and academia, IT professionals from public administration, business, and industry, educators teaching computer science in schools and apprentices and students aiming for a profession in IT. The special interest group on Energy Informatics is involved in many European and international activities in Energy Informatics and supports the most important conferences in this area, i.e. DACH+ conference on Energy Informatics and ACM e-Energy. Besides now serving as a speaker for the German special interest group, Astrid Nieße is also active in the ACM special interest group on energy informatics (ACM SIG e-Energy).
