Welcome to Energy Informatics
Energy Informatics is an interdisciplinary research field. Dedicated to a resilient operation of the energy system, we are mainly motivated by the ambition to support and alleviate the transition to a sustainable energy system based on renewable energy sources. New information technology based approaches can be a game changer in this process.
The group of Energy Informatics at Leibniz University is closed since September 2020.
Prof. Dr.-Ing. Astrid Nieße changed to the University of Oldenburg, where she leads the division for digitalized energy systems. For the time being, she and her team can still supervise thesis’ at Leibniz University, please contact them.
At Leibniz University Hannover, Stephan Ferenz still does research in the field of Energy Informatics at Electric Energy Storage Systems of the Institute of Electric Power Systems. He can also supervise thesis’ in the field, please contact him for further information.
